Beat Up - Taps 458

Taps: 10. Total: 458.

Beat up. Beat down. All around. Sore all over. Night sessions are awesome. Three taps per roll, it seems like. Stuck under Half Guard. Even on top, they are really hunting for the Kimura. Defended it well, except once.

Review Robson's counter to the Kimura.

Thought about some Half Guard ideas to try: Kesting Sweep one way, London Sweep the other. I think the set up is the same, but leg position/briding leg is opposite as is the sweep direction. Need to look into it because I can't seem to get the Half Butterfly Hook in to get the sweep. And the Kesting and London both work when bottom guy is flattened.

Blue, One Stripe - Taps 448

Taps: 7. Total: 448.

Went to a night class. Awesome. Was late to the Adv. class, but stayed for the All Belts class and got a stripe on my Blue. Oh, so not ready. Feel like I'm still getting used to my Blue and getting beat my Whites (if I don't pay attention), getting beat my all the other Blues and upper belts.

Hate the Deep Half and the Lockdown. Got a bruise on my calf from when we were just drilling the Lockdown over and over again. Not fun.

Work on:
Half Guard - Bottom
Iron Hook.

Taps: 441

Taps: 9. Total: 441.

Forgive me it's been over 2 weeks since my last training session. And getting beat up my White belts as well. I don't remember rolling like that when I was a White, and I still don't. They are so aggressive, hunting submissions all over the place. Me? I'm still about trying to position, pass the guard, pass the half guard, maintain side control, maintain mount, etc. Guess more power to them.

Getting stuck in half guard bottom and turtle. Need to work on that.
