Taps: 3. Total: 3171.
BB Chris.
I. Basic Butterfly Sweep.
a. getting ankle, getting way to side and front.
II. Deep Half from Knee.
a. diving in with leg and arm.
b. hiding left hand, feeding lapel and coming up.
Fails:
1. G roll -- not crossing my legs.
2. Half Guard - ninja roll.
3. Yuri belt roll -- maybe because i tried it on BB Chris.
4. Step over kimura.
Success:
1. Mount to Triangle - he got his hand under my leg, so i just went for it.
Need to work on:
1. Go to - Closed Guard. Pick one or two - drill and keep going for those. Maybe two on one Armdrag? or High Guard, Side Guard. Underhook Bump Sweep, Lapel Bump sweep, yeah, maybe that.
and Curu Curu.

Taps: 3. Total: 3168.
BB Vince.
My takedowns suck. Try to stick to Underhook Knee/Ankle Tap.
I. Kimura Counter from Top of Half.
a. Press on hip and knee to pop my knee out; if he doesn't release my leg, put that knee on the mat on the right and proceed to Mount.
b. He releases, then i've got the Pass into Side Control.
c. Get my right knee tight against his belly, lift my left leg and swing/step over his head, put it under his back, my knee under his arm pit and sit down for my own Kimura Armbar.
Finally, understand how to do the Kimura Step Over/Sit down from last week. Basically, sitting down on the opposite side as the Kimura armbar.
i. his head is at 3 o'clock, feet pointing towards 9 o'clock, and i'm attacking his left arm.
ii. I lock in Kimura grip, and regular Armbar, I would sit down at 6 o'clock. But Step Over/Sit down, I swing my right leg over his belly, and sit down ON THE OTHER SIDE of his head (his head is at 6 'o clock and i'm sitting down at 4 o'clock.).
That's the position I had Brown Chris and I couldn't finish, because I needed to sit back a little to create separation between his hand and his body, then a little twist for Finish.
More Fails:
1. Casablanca lapel bump sweep -- could not pass over to my left hand. Good news - I was able to keep it wrapped over his elbow, and pulled and got his hand across center line. Hipped out a little, had High Guard briefly, went to Side Guard, and bumped sweep, came up on top but in Half Guard.
2. Deep Half Pass - i get the underhook and get stuck there. Sit up and swing free leg over his head.
3. Curu Curu.
4. G roll - not creating separation.

a. Heavy, chest pressure. Move around, side to side from back - NOT in front, Not N/S.
II. Turtle Flip
a. ole behind triceps, grab far ankle and chest pressure and push him over.
III. Turtle to Bow and Arrow.
a. from left side, right hand under his arm and open gi.
b. left hand (in front of his face) grabs that open gi.
c. right foot steps over to the right of him, pulling gi grip turning him into Bow and Arrow position.
d. right hand grabs pants grip.

1. G Roll.
2. Ryan Roll from Side Top.

Got BB Vince to show me the Step Over/Sit Down Kimura from N/S and from Half Guard Top.
Basics:
1. My hand grabs opposite wrist, and my other hand goes under his and grabs my wrist, ie. my left hand goes under his left, my right grabs his left wrist, etc.
2. Keep his head between my legs to prevent escape.
N/S - facing his feet, attacking his left hand.
a. my right hand grabs his left wrist; my left goes under his left.
b. Move to left, get him on his side, step over his head with my right leg. Keep his head between my legs.
c. Right leg down, left leg up, then hook under his head, then put left leg down as i swing/step right leg over his hip and sit down for the finish.
from Half Guard Top
a. he goes for underhook, my right hand grabs wrist, left hand goes under that hand, locks in Kimura Grip.
b. Base forward, put head on the mat and sprawl left leg out (both of these prevent getting rolled).
c. Get left leg over and under his head, and fall down on my left hip.
d. Free the right leg from Half and swing it over for the finish (like above).
BB Vince also addressed some holes/weaknesses in my game he witnessed my rolling.
Hole 1 - not dealing with the Cross Collar grip. Solution: Grab both pants grips and STAND UP.
Hole 2 - Getting Triangled as I pass. Solution: Control bottom leg better, and when i let go, put that hand across his face and under his head. I usually go for the cross face, and get almost armbarred or they triangle their legs over my head for my troubles.
Hole 3 - from Side Control, if they prevent the cross face with their hands, Step over with my leg; same deal if they triangle my head or try to armbar me from that position.

BB Vince. He's back.
I. Grip strategies. Don't make the same grip as other guy. Get over grip.
a. He tries Trip - either outside or inside - i can steer wheel and take down.
II. Turtle Top
a. Keep pressure down on his head with my chest, and keep his butt down. When butt comes back up, i can turn him over to side.
III. Stand up - Duck under and double Counter. And counter if he's got my back even.
a. Outside trip. Got my back, trip high.
IV. Mount to High Mount to S Mount Armbars (either side)
a. grabbing both arms.
Good review.
Bonus: Step over / Sit down Kimura from top Half and N/S. Wicked. Need to ask him about it next time.
Working on:
- Closed Guard: attacking weak left arm, arm drag to Side Guard / work the Flower Sweep. Also, work on the High Guard, too.
Misc:
Jeff Rockwell on different training: training for longevity has to be fun -- that whole Keep It Playful movement of Ryron. Otherwise, I'm not going to last.
Also, Side ESC -- shrimp, hip escape. Shrimp, shrimp, shrimp. Don't even need the Bridge, just shrimp shrimp shrimp, says BB Vince.

BB Chris -- Half to Deep Half to X Guard Sweep.
a. from Deep, get under/over with my legs on his trapped leg.
b. He stands, go to X Guard.
c. Pull him down and come up for the Sweep.
II. Instead of coming up, get his leg over and take the Back.
Working on:
1. G Roll.
2. Triangle from Mount.
3. Closed Guard Armbar / Sweep.

Still 3150
Taps: 0. Total: 3150.
BB Joel. Mount Attacks.
I. Arm bar:
a. He pushes on hips, underhook and spiderwalk hands up all the way (right side).
b. Right knee goes all the way near his ear where his hand was.
c. Pick up his other hand and get left leg under his armpit -- S-Mount.
d. Grab both arms together and go for Arm bar.
II. Triangle.
a. same set up.
b. But, instead of S-Mount under his arm, get left leg over arm and under his head.
c. Right hand grabs that left ankle behind his head for head control and roll.
d. Lock Triangle from bottom.
III. Arm Triangle.
a. Rather than spiderwalk and getting his hand all the way up, get his hand over to right.
b. Chest pressure, and lock hands and jump off into Side Control for the finish.
IV. Gift wrap to the Back.
a. Get arm/elbow across centerline, then with chest pressure, keep it there.
b. Right hand under his hand and grab gift wrap, other hand presses on elbow for better control.
c. Sit up, and left leg is there and he'll most likely take Half Guard.
d. But that is also Half a hook for me. Roll to other side and take Back and get second hook in.
i. if he defends hook, trap his hand with my leg.
ii. if he has hands up to defend choke grip, easy to get hook in.
Fail:
1. Bruschecha Rolling Armbar -- ended up in Half Guard.
2. Half Guard G Roll -- he pressed his weight forward.
Random thoughts:
Got partnered with a newbie White Belt. I ask how long he's been training. Just started BJJ, but he's been training MMA for four or five years at our school. I say I've been at our school for that long. He couldn't get out my Mount or Side Control. Hard not to think that he maybe should have been training BJJ the whole time, he'd be a Purple Belt and could do more stuff on the ground.
I could be wrong.
