Taps: 1. Total: 545.
Working with same or lower belts, so not too many taps.
Techs. Half Butterfly Sweep (which I've never really gotten to work), from Half Guard and Full Guard.
Re-watch: Lost Techniques (Half Guard), and maybe dig up Caio's Half DVD.
Keep Drilling:
1. Sit Out
2. S Mount ESC
3. Hip Bump
4. Rey Sweep.
Review: Jordan Back Hook Jump ESC.

Taps: 542
Taps: 6. Total: 542.
Tech. - Takedowns -- Judo - Outer reap of leg.
Review:
1. Leo Pass (seminar).
2. Leandro Pass (Budo Jake).
3. Side ESC (Wrist roll). - Just realized, I had a grip on his elbow, but not on his wrist. That's why I couldn't get the roll. Also, I was flat, not on my side.
Slowly, inching, progress on Half Guard and Hip Bump Sweep and Back ESC -- drills/reps helping. Need to keep them up til 1000.
Next up on Drill List:
1. Kesa ESC.

Still 536 Taps
Taps: 0. Total: 536.
** did not free train. Just drilled positions and escapes.
Tech. 1 - Armbar ESC (from inside Closed Guard).
1. Rnc your trapped arm.
2. Stack him by coming up on both toes.
3. Get your arm out and put his legs to mat and pass.
Tech. 2 - Triangle ESC early - Posture up.
Tech 3 - Triangle ESC late
1. Get that knee to the mat.
2. Switch hips, get leg over his head and lock in behind his head.
3. Stretch him to break grip, back step, come up in Side.
Tech. 4 - Armbar Esc (bottom of Side).
1. Rnc arm that's attacked, other hand under his top leg.
2. When he rests, use non-attacked arm to push his bottom leg between mine for Half Guard.
3. Go back to my arm position, then hip out and get my arm/elbow to mat, get arm out.
4. Go double under and come up for the pass.
During drilling positions, I was getting swept alot and getting passed a lot - what else is new, but I felt clueless about Open Guard, what to do, etc, and asked Black Chris and he gave me the basic principles, pointers to play with.
Open Guard:
Pointer 1 - don't let him control your knee. Break grips.
P2 - Get sleeve grips.
P3 - there's the 6 points of Contact - Make sure I have at least 2 with the feet.
a. 6 points of contact - opp's 2 biceps, 2 hips, hook behind his knees.
P4 - Have my foot on his hip, the way he's moving, trying to Pass.
Drilling - Back ESC - had better luck with Jordan's Hook and Jump ESC than Wolverine's Walk. Need to review both.
Review also -- Leandro Pass and Shaolin Half Sweep (short version and long version)

Taps: 536
Taps: 8. Total: 536.
Tech.: 2 - Self-Defense.
1. Pushing off and getting back up to Tech. Stand Up.
2. Attack - pushing his legs one way, then other, coming down for big knock out punch.
Tech 3 - Sit up Guard Sweep.
1. Guy lifts his leg, almost Combat Base -- I have same side collar grip, and sleeve grip on other hand.
a. Get both legs under his up leg, push his arm under and lift leg like a Butterfly Sweep.
The Good:
A little focus and drills paying off -- pulled off Bump Sweep and Rey Sweep on a Purple Belt.
The Bad:
Still getting stuck under Half Guard, took ages to reverse a White Belt.
New Project - Grab a White Belt and Practice.
* Starting with: Back ESC - Wolverine's and Jordan's.
Drilling Project (1000 reps one side).
1. Back ESC.
2. Hip Bump Sweep.
3. Rey Sweep (A. Anderson Dvd / Xande Sweep / B. Estima, Leo Nogueira -- he starts w/ a rocking motion)
Review:
* Kesting Clothesline Half Sweep.
* Tripod Head Pressure Half Pass.
