Totally slowed down, not as gungho as before pandemic. At this rate, never going to reach 10k taps.
As you progress higher through the color ranks, you start to slow down and there is the fear of rolling with lower belts, you pick n choose out of fear bc you don't want to bully the lower belts but if you don't dominate them, then there is the fear of imposter syndrome coming on.
That if you don't dominate or if they get upper hand on you (which some will) then your ego deflates and you wonder about your legitimacy as a color belt, which you don't feel if you only roll with your own color or above.
but but but this is an unhealthy way to roll ... just back on the wagon and ROLL with who is AVAILABLE. Be Color Blind.
BB Tarca showed: SLX -- other leg pushes on the knee to turn him.
Practiced Craig Jones' Reverse Single X from Knees -- on Brown Allan ... got it twice, third time i didn't get it bc i forgot to do what Craig said -- dive under n grab his foot but i was not doing that the whole time and Allan finally figured out to scoot back.
Craig is the MAN.
Rolling w BB Jack -- lightly bc he's still injured but i got my cross sleeve sweeps on him and he finally figured out to deny me the cross sleeve grip ... completely NULLIFIED MY GAME. Then he was able to shut down my Close Guard, too bc that flowed into my Cross grip and he again denied that.
So ... I need to drill the Cross Sleeve game on the OTHER SIDE.
