Sat. training / Private with Lil Bro

Taps: 5. Total: 342.

Focus on Butterfly Guard.

1. First grip - underhook, belt grip, GET IN CLOSE and TIGHT.
2. Back, outside leg - tight against his knee.
3. Hook - under knee, crook there, and keep contact at all times.

Also, Entry from Half Guard.
1. Keep free leg high, on his shoulder.
2. Kick out with free leg, and come up and get underhook, and belt grip.
3. Scoot back, and to side to create space to get that leg in as hook.

Tip on the Machado Weave Pass.
1. Drop my shoulder down, pressure with the weave arm.

Kimura Escapes - two simple but awesome ones because he saw me getting caught in them.
1. From inside Guard or Half Guard -- Get my knee up and grab under thigh/hamstring with the trapped arm, drop my knee down.

2. From bottom Mount or S Mount -- Trapped arm grabs my other bicep (a la RNC grip), and free hand grabs his hand at the wrist. (so when he yanks, he pulls my entire body up).
     a. get my knee in between his grip and push, and come up.

After Pass tip -- Drop hip down (practice on Exercise Ball); then knee in, slide back down the other way.

North/South Choke tip -- relax, drop hip and weight down, my rib against his neck; slowly get lower and down.

Half Guard Top -- first priority - FLATTEN HIM OUT, get him on his back -- not going straight down, but circle to the right.
